Mrs. F.F: A Story of Triumph Over Prolapsed Uterus
Severe flank pain, lower back pain, and abdominal discomfort plagued Mrs. F.F's daily life. She experienced a constant need to urinate and noticed a protruding mass from her genital organ. It was a prolapsed uterus—a condition that severely impacted her ability to work and led to social isolation due to incontinence.

In a powerful collaboration between GIV Society Ethiopia and Ithiel Maternal and Child Health Specialty Center, a series of impactful screenings were conducted to address the pressing health needs of mothers. On February 4th, 2023, and March 12th, 2023, free screenings for UVP (uterine or vaginal prolapse) and fistula were provided to 100 mothers supported by Tesfa Social and Development Center and 80 women supported by Compassion Elderly Association.

UVP (Uterovaginal prolapse),a common condition among adult women and more commonly known as Pelvic organ prolapse, is the protrusion of the pelvic organs to or beyond the vaginal walls. It caused due to weakness of pelvic muscles associated with increased age and childbirth.
